The State of Texas

County of Angelina

This indenture made the 5th day of November, 1867, between William Henington, of the County of Angelina and State of Texas, of the first part and Sarah Ann Cochran of the County and State aforesaid of the second part, witnesseth:

That the said of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, to him in hand paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold, and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part and toher heirs and assigns, for over all of a certain tract or parcel of land in Angelina County, about 11½ miles S. 30° E. from Marion, beginning at the North corner of a 320 acre survey made in the name of A. Young, from which a Hickory 24 in. dia. brs. S. 82 W. 8 vrs., another 10 in. dia. brs. N. 85° E. 85 8/10 vrs.; thence South 45° E. 770 vrs; thence North 3 line of a survey of one league in the name of Pat Mullians from which a Post Oak 14 in. dia. brs. N. 60° E. 8 vrs.; thence North 60° W. 9 vrs., a Red Oak 14 in. dia. brs. S. 60° E. 8 vrs.; thence North 45° E. 540 vrs, the S. corner of a survey of 640 acres, from which a W. O. 18 in. dia. brs. S. 57° E. 1 8/10 vrs.; A sweet gum 14 in dia bears N. 76 E 10 vrs thence North 45° W. 770 vrs. McAnally cor. On Thos. hanks survey of 1200 acres; thence 8. 49 W. 540 vrs. to the beginning, bearing M K X containing seventy three and six tenths acres, together with all and singular the herditaments and appertanences thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions; remainder and remainders, rents, issues and proffits thereof, and also all the estate, right, title, interest, claim or demand, whatsoever of him, the said party of the first part, either in law or equity, of in, and to the above bargained premises and every part and parcel thereof, to have and to hold to the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever.

In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals, using scrowls by way of scrowls, in the presence of B. J. Stripling, O. C. McNeil.

Personally appeared before me, the undersigned authority, B. J. Stripling, who is personally known to me, one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed, who being duly sworn, states upon oath that William Henington Where signatrue appears to the foregoing deed, did sign, executre and deliver the same in his presents and that he deponant and O. C. McNeil signed the same as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the grantor, and the said Wm. Henington acknowledged that he signed, executed and delivered the same for the purposes and considerations therein mentioned and set fourth.

This indenture made this the 1st day of October, 1870 between Joshua B. Cochrane, sen. of the one part and Joshua B. Cochrane, June. of the other part Sen. of Juahua B. Cochrane Sein. witnesseth: That the Joshaua B. Cochrane, Sen. as will for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and beareth unto unto the said Joshua B. Cochrane, Jrne. his Sen. hath given granted, aliened and confirmed by these presents doth give, grant, alien and confirm unto the said Joshua B. Cochrane, Jun. fifty acres of land to include the improvement where he now lives, it being a part of the head right of John McAnally to commence wherever he may wish it to and run as he may wish to so as not to run on any of the said Joshua B. Cochrane, Sen. Improvements. To have and to hold the said land with the improvements thereon hereby given and granted hereunto the said Joshua B. Cochrane, June. his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behalf of him the said Joshua B. Cochrane, June, his heirs and assigns forever and the said Joshua B. Cochrane, Senr. for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators doth covenant and grant to and with the said Joshua B. Cochrane, Junr. his heirs and assigns by these presents that he, the said Joshua B. Cochrane, Junr., shall and lawfully mary and henceforth and ever hereafter hold the above named land.
