Mr. D. F. Rowin
Hollis Texas
Kind Friend
You must please excuse me for not writing sooner. This leaves us all well at present. Crops have fallen very short since you left here. We are having some terable rains and cotton is picking very bad. Pickard has started for Corcicanna. George Harvey bought his crop. George lost his baby last week. I was at Cross Roads last night and had a good time. Mattie and the Baby are well. I have not sold your saddle yet but will do the best I can with it. Write again and let us hear from you.
Yours respect
D. A. Cochran
NOTE: All spelling carefully replicated. D.F. Rowin is Dosson Franklin Rowin. D. A. Cochran is David Archibald Cochran (Jr.).
